A cartographer and a bottled ink salesman sit down at the same table in the same room for lunch. "Then what happens?" Well, the ink salesman is greedy, and he is only focused on money. That's frankly the only reason he decided to have lunch with the cartographer, he wanted to sell her on his bottled ink business. You see, the ink salesman never passes on an opportunity to gain a new customer. Upon the cartographer's request to have lunch with him, he thought "Oh goody! An opportunity to gain a new customer!" Something to note is that the ink salesman's way of running his business gained him a lot of money to begin with, but he always wanted more. The bottled ink market is not one of high demand, or supply. Even with the already high bottled ink price averages, the ink salesman still charged an inordinate amount of money for even 2 fluid ounces of bottled ink. The specific price is not relevant to the matter, but the ink salesman knew that if he could hook the cartographer on buying his ink, then that would only increase his already high profits. He had somewhat of a stranglehold on the market, and he was determined to expand his monopoly. Now, with all of this being said, you will see that the ink salesman's greed would ultimately be the downfall of both him and the cartographer. It's an unpleasant story, but there are 3 reasons why these details must be said. Firstly, it's important to understanding the way things happened, and why they did. Secondly, it's a story with a moral at the end, and these details, had they been omitted, would leave the story incomplete and meaningless. And thirdly, this is the way that the story happened, and we cannot alter it. Anyway, the ink salesman begins talking to the cartographer, and attempting to sell her on his bottled ink.
